It’s a daily and nightly occurrence when you are on the road.

“What do you want to eat?

The frustrating replies…

“I don’t know.”

“I don’t care.”

Of course, those answers change the minute you pull into a restaurant parking lot. Then they care a lot and don’t like your choice at all.

Yes, traveling far away from home has many pitfalls, but there is one vehicle that can ease a lot of those problems – a Roadtrek Class B motorhome.

Think of the convenience of always having your own kitchen while traveling. Instead of eating fast food or stopping for a long stay at a pricey restaurant, you can simply go to the fridge in your Roadtrek when it’s time for a meal. Think of how much money you will save stocking up the Roadtrek at a grocery store instead of going on a spending frenzy at convenience stores and restaurants.

The Roadtrek has many other advantages as well.  How many times have you been traveling in the middle of nowhere when it was “time to go”? In a Roadtrek, you always have a clean, comfortable and private bathroom.  If you are a passenger, you don’t even have to stop.  Also, owning a Roadtrek means no more long lines at ballgames or concerts. It’s the little things that make life enjoyable and the Roadtrek is full of them.

Dave Arbogast is the largest dealer of conversion vans in the United States, which means we can find the perfect Roadtrek for you. We deliver vans all over the country which allows our customers to enjoy a high quality buying experience without traveling hundreds of miles.

What is it that makes a Class B Camper Van so appealing?

While out and about with some friends the other day, I happened to spot a great looking Roadtrek Class B Camper Van a few cars ahead of us.

I quickly told my friend who was driving to pull up next to it so I could get a better look.

“Why? It’s just another RV,” he said.

I quickly corrected him by telling him it was much more than another RV.  By the look he gave me after my response, I realized the conversation was headed towards becoming a a camper van-educational lesson of sorts.

Class B Camper Vans are very different than their larger counterparts. Although smaller, they get better gas mileage, are more maneuverable, and still have the same luxurious of a standard RV.

“But you can’t even spend the night in one,” said my friend.

Wrong.

Believe it or not, a camper van can sleep between 2 to 3 people easily. Also, the dining area is many models can easily convert into a sleeping area as well.

“Yea but what if you want to cook some dinner for the family…”

Not a problem.

Class B Camper Vans – especially newer models – can come loaded with almost anything you can dream of and that includes a galley/kitchen area. Also, you can choose from a variety of options including flat screen TVs, custom interiors, two packages, and even full baths.

The most inviting aspect of a Class B Camper Van is likely their price. Compared to most large RVs, there is a huge difference in price when it comes to camper vans. Quite simply, they aren’t going to cost you an arm and a leg and you’re still getting a vehicle loaded with all the amenities you need.

“So remember,” I said to my friend at the end of my brief camper van spiel.

“They aren’t just another RV.”

The 170-Versatile from Roadtrek is the most compelling alternative to SUVs and conversion vans. Not only is it the easiest of all Roadtreks to handle in traffic, it also helps you beat cabin fever.

You’ll forget all about the snow and ice and howling wind when you step into a Roadtrek. The 170-Versatile seats seven and sleeps four with ease. The rear power sofa converts into a comfortable and spacious 6’2” double bed. Across the rear storage below the bed guarantees that you never have to do without the things that you can’t do without.

There is plenty of room to stretch out and relax in a Roadtrek 170-Versatile, and by adding an optional flat screen TV to its home theater system, you create an entertainment center which takes up little room and will provide hours of enjoyment.  The TV evens rotates so it can be viewed from the  vehicle’s comfortable captain seats.

Basically, it’s never boring in a Roadtrek 170-Versatile.

Neither snow nor ice, nor sub zero temperatures should keep you from enjoying your 170-Versatile. It’s a perfect cure for cabin fever.

The Roadtrek is one of the best vehicles on the road today. When it comes to style, comfort and fuel efficiency; it can’t be beat.  Cross country trips are a breeze in a Roadtrek when you have all the comforts of home with for every mile.

However, the Roadtrek is much more than a family camper for long vacations. It has many uses sitting in your driveway or around town; something that many don’t think about.

For example, the weekend long, out of town soccer tournaments the kids seem to be in every weekend are a lot more enjoyable in a Roadtrek. You can have your own bathroom, bedroom, change and relaxation area on site. You’ll never have to eat another under cooked hotdog again when you’re preparing meals in a Roadtrek’s kitchen.  While everyone else heads for hotels at the end of the day, miles and miles away, you can stay right where you are and spend the night in the comfort of your Roadtrek‘s comfortable bed.

I have had a few houseguests whom I didn’t really want to stay with me. (My apologies to my former in-laws!) The Roadtrek is not only a comfortable place to stay when on the road, it’s a great private suite for guests when you are the host. Once they have stayed in a class b motorhome, they just may want to spend the rest of their stay there!

The Roadtrek is also a great business vehicle. If you work out of your vehicle, there is plenty of space to do that. If you have to run clients back to the office to close a deal, they will be impressed with the style and comfort of your vehicle. And if you are on the road a lot for your job, there is no better vehicle than a Roadtrek.  Avoid the nightly hotels, packing and unpacking, sleeping in strange beds, and having to eat out all the time.

When you own a Roadtrek, it’s like taking home with you.

So now you know the Roadtrek is great at home and on the road.

It won’t be winter much longer. Spring is really right around the corner (ok, it’s a far corner) and the question is—will you be ready?

For what? For the season of travel that lies ahead. What will you do when the open road calls? When those four walls surrounding you start closing in, and cabin fever strikes, what will you do?

Those owning a Roadtrek SS-Agile already have an answer. They go where the open road takes them, and beyond. At 19’ 5”, the Agile is several feet shorter than the Sprinter Chassis that finally made it to North America from Europe several years ago. It’s an ideal getaway machine for those wanting less hassle, better fuel economy, AND one of the most trusted names in the Class B motor home business.

If you wince every time you go the pumps, this class b motorhome will ease your pain with 20+ miles per gallon. The famed Mercedes Benz V-6 turbo engine and a tighter turning Radius make the Agile a pleasure to drive.  Parking is also a breeze as the Agile’s smaller size makes it easy to pull into regular parking spots.

The interior of the Agile will simply wow you. The galley is nearly 6 feet in length, with granite countertop, 3.8 cubic foot refrigerator, convection/microwave oven, and recessed stove with glass cover. A hard sided bathroom sits opposite the kitchen area to add to the comforts of home. A marine toilet, shower and sink provide both privacy and comfort.

Still looking for more? Try out the 11,000 BTU air conditioner, 16,000 BTU furnace, home theatre package including DVD, CD player and 5.1 surround sound with multiple speakers, rear backup camera, 6.5’ touch screen monitor and 50 cubic feet of storage, and you may have a hard time finding a reason to go HOME.

Really, the only question you should have is “How quickly can I get my hands on one of these?” That’s an easy one to answer. Dave Arbogast in Troy, Ohio has a wide range of Roadtreks, and the buying experience couldn’t be easier. See our inventory on line, and then call one of our van professionals at 1-866-975-3257. Imagine being awakened with news you had just won $190 million dollars in the second biggest lottery drawing in history.

It actually happened to a woman from Washington who thought her retired husband was having a heart attack as he was trying to wake her up to tell her.

The numbers are impossible to wrap your mind around (unless, of course, you play baseball for the New York Yankees!) Even the lump sum of $90 million is incomprehensible. Your brain or my brain anyway, just isn’t capable of fathoming that much money.

Now comes the next decision: What the heck to do with it?

I’ll be honest. I would take care of loved ones, make a few charitable donations, and maybe even set up a little rainy day fund. After that, get out of my way because I’m spending it!

I even know what my first purchase would be – a Roadtrek Class B motorhome.  Just let me get out on the open road, but still give me all the comforts of home. No motor home does that better than a Roadtrek.

If you are looking for something that’s fun to drive, easy to park, and fuel efficient, the Roadtrek is the way to go. Getting there is more than half the fun in a Roadtrek with its comfortable seating and a high-end entertainment system. When you get to your destination, you will have your own kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. It’s like taking home with you.

Thanks to the Roadtrek’s smaller size, you can stay anywhere and not have to worry about finding multiple parking spaces a mile from your destination. The Roadtrek is also easy to maneuver in and out of traffic, making it the perfect vehicle for trips across town as well as across the country.

The Roadtrek is the perfect towing vehicle, with 8100 pounds of towing capacity. It features separate heating and cooling systems independent of the engine, meaning you can take your pets along and keep them in comfort when you are away from the vehicle.

Sure, you have lots of options with $190 million dollars, but I would start with a class b van and the place to end your search is at Dave Arbogast in Troy, Ohio, located just 10 minutes from the Dayton International Airport.

Their friendly, professional staff of van experts will help you find the perfect Roadtrek for your needs and they can deliver it to your driveway, no matter where you are in the United States.

The holidays are finally over, the Ohio State Buckeyes have finally beaten an SEC team in a bowl game, and everyone is settling in to 2011. If you are like me, you are also asking, “OK, what now?”

I like to use January, February and March as planning months. I hate the weather early in the year, so I just work and plan for later in the year. Do I want to travel? If so, where? Once I figure that out, then the next question is, how do I want to get there?

Flying is out of the question (something about being 30,000 feet in the air with someone else in control just doesn’t work for me.) So I had to find a vehicle with the comforts of home that I can actually drive. Guess what, I found it – Roadtrek’s SS-Agile

The Roadtrek SS-Agile is housed on the 144-inch-wheelbase Sprinter 2500 van chassis powered by a 3-liter CRD Mercedes-Benz V-6 turbo diesel engine. It has a highway mileage rating of around 23 mph, and has an overall length of 19 feet five inches, giving the SS-Agile a versatility and ease of handing most motor homes cannot match.

I have said it before: The Grand Canyon has never held much appeal to me because of the trip to get there. With a Roadtrek Class B Motorhome, all concerns are taken care of. The vehicle seats up to 5 and sleeps two in comfort. It features an electrically operated rear sofa which provides belted seating for three during travel, and becomes a king-sized bed or twin beds with just a push of the button.  With no more “in and out” at hotels every night, it makes traveling a much more attractive idea.

With the Agile, there is also plentiful storage available below the sofa, which is easily accessible through its rear doors. The galley features an engineered granite countertop with a recessed cook top that includes a glass cover. A three way, 3.8 cubic foot absorption refrigerator is mounted below, as well as a microwave-convection oven. A recessed cover expands the work surface when the sink is needed.

Once the day’s traveling is done, relax with an optional 19-inch flat screen television. It’s installed in the rear sleeping/sofa section, but is attached to a swing pedestal for easy viewing from the full swivel captain’s chairs up front. Comfort, style and convenience -you get it all with a Roadtrek.

There is only one place to look for this amazing vehicle and that’s at Dave Arbogast in Troy, Ohio.

I went to the big game last week. I took the kid with me. Actually I took the child with me. (Left the goat at home this time!) Anyway, the game was great, the atmosphere was great, and the score was tied at halftime.

And that’s when it happened.

The teams had barely left the floor at halftime when the child pulled on my sleeve and said, “I have to go.”

Assuming he did not mean to make an important phone call to President Obama, we headed for the restrooms. With a soft drink in one hand (no alcohol around the child!) and holding his hand with the other (I am after all, a responsible adult) we found the restroom. The line however snaked a good 100 feet out the door and down the hall.

I am normally not a patient man, but this time I thought to myself, “How long can this take?”

I was about to find out.

After five minutes, we finally moved two steps. After a short time, we took another two steps. By now, the child was fidgeting, and wasn’t the only one who had to go.  After what seemed like an eternity, we finally got to the door. Another 10 minutes and we were finally done and headed back to our seats. As for the game, we missed most of the third quarter and didn’t have much interest in the rest of it after that.

The point of all this is that if I had a Roadtrek Class B, this whole situation could have been avoided. Roadtreks have their own bathrooms offering privacy and comfort and are easy to park in regular parking spots. Having a Roadtrek means no more lines when you “have to go”. Just a quick trip to the parking lot and you are back in the game without missing a minute of the action.

That is only one feature that makes class b motorhomes the choice of so many over the road travelers.  Style and comfort, with the many conveniences of home and the features many expect from a motor home, make the Roadtrek the way to go whether traveling across town or across the country. You can always find uses for the shower, bed, and entertainment center, even if the Roadtrek is parked in your driveway.

There is only one place to go when in the market for a Roadtrek and that’s Dave Arbogast in Troy, Ohio.
