This is the dream I had last night. Bundled from head to toe, sitting in the sleigh as the snow swirled around me, I thought to myself, “There must be a better way.”  Fortunately, I soon woke up, and realized that there was, indeed, a better way to get to grandfather’s house for that traditional holiday meal.

I can only imagine what Lydia Maria Child, who wrote the above poem in 1844, would think if she ever got the chance to ride in the 2011 Airstream Avenue. I know one thing—her sleigh riding days would be over!

The Avenue is built on a powerful Chevrolet 3500 Series Express chassis. It’s L96 V8 engine and 6L90 transmission has a towing capacity of nearly 8,000 pounds. A step up from horses, to be sure, but what really dazzles is the interior of the vehicle.

With all this, traveling to grandfather’s house this winter has never been easier, or more comfortable. In fact, once you spend some time in an Airstream Avenue, Grandfather may have to bring the meal to you!
